Frequently Asked Questions

What type of therapy do you offer?

I provide individual therapy for adults, with a focus on stress, burnout, trauma, emotional regulation, life transitions, parenthood, and caregiver fatigue. Sessions are collaborative, practical, and insight-oriented, with space for both skill-building and deeper processing. Adolescents age 15+ will be considered on a case-to-case basis.

What is your professional background?

I am a Washington State Licensed Social Worker Associate – Independent Clinical (LSWAIC). I have experience in clinical therapy, crisis-response and medical social work, which informs a grounded, steady, and practical approach to care. I currently practice under clinical supervision, which is a standard and ethical part of associate licensure in Washington State.

What does it mean that you are an associate therapist?

As an associate therapist, I am fully licensed by the state to provide therapy while receiving ongoing clinical supervision from a Washington State–approved supervisor. Supervision supports continued professional growth and ensures high-quality, ethical care.

Who do you work best with?

I often work with adults who are feeling burned out, overwhelmed, emotionally depleted, or stuck in survival mode. Many of my clients are caregivers, parents, healthcare or helping professionals, or individuals navigating major life or identity shifts.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. All clients can access therapy via secure telehealth anywhere in Washington State. Telehealth allows for flexible, accessible care while maintaining a meaningful therapeutic connection.

Do you offer walk-and-talk therapy?

For clients local to the area, walk-and-talk sessions may be available. These sessions take place outdoors and combine movement with reflection, which some clients find grounding and supportive.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, your goals for therapy, and what support might look like moving forward. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—this is a starting point.

How long are sessions?

Standard therapy sessions are approximately 60 minutes. There are some exceptions to this, such as your intake which will most likely take up to 90 minutes.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Frequency can change over time based on your needs, goals, and availability.

Do you accept insurance?

What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?

It’s okay to feel unsure. Many people come to therapy simply because something feels off or unsustainable. We can explore whether therapy feels like a good fit during an initial consultation or first session.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions required by law (such as risk of harm to self or others, abuse reporting, or court orders). These limits are reviewed clearly during intake.

What if I need crisis support?

Wild Ground Counseling Co. is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing an emergency or feel unsafe, please call 911, visit your nearest emergency department, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988).
